About Linda Howard Bittner

Linda Howard Bittner has dedicated her career and talents to promote wildlife education and conservation. She is nationally and internationally recognized for her fine art, illustration, photography and design work. Linda’s art is featured in children’s books, educational publishing, field guides, zoo and museum exhibits, toys, puzzles, games, novelty products, greeting cards, party papers, marketing campaigns and product development.
Linda is also a world travel specialist. She developed her own company, Wild Art Safaris LLC, to provide escorted journeys and custom travel with a focus on adventure, culture and nature experiences. Linda also creates unique travel opportunities for artists and photographers with destinations around the world so that they may share their vision with others.

Linda Howard Bittner is also a member of Masterworks for Nature, a group of Cincinnati area artists dedicated to raising awareness and funds for conservation. Originally conceived in 1999 as “Wildlife 2000,” the group has expanded and grown into Masterworks for Nature with the same core mission. Members include John Ruthven, Charlie Harper (posthumously), Bret Harper, DeVere Burt, Christopher Walden, John Agnew, Mary Louise Holt, Ann Geise, Nancy Foureman, Margi Hopkins, Gary Denzler and Chris Rowlands. MWFN partners with conservation and nature education organizations such as the Wilds, Cincinnati Nature Center, Aullwood Audubon Center, Cincinnati Zoo and many others. These partnerships provide art exhibitions to raise money through sales and auction events. To date, they have raised over $1.5 million in gross receipts for various conservation organizations in the Cincinnati tri-state region.

Created in an “Audubon-esque” style, this image of a pair of Summer Tanagers brings to mind a page in a field guide or interpretive panel at a museum. The art was originally painted for the Cincinnati Nature Center. The art graced the cover of a CNC membership newsletter and featured the birds in an educational article.
